Air Lift's LoadLifter 5000 springs provide full-time, first-class support for your truck. With this kit, you get a safer ride and simultaneously protect your vehicle from the strain that comes with constantly hauling heavy loads.

Carrying heavy cargo in your truck bed or trailer puts tremendous stress on your vehicle. Your brakes erode faster, your tires wear unevenly, and handling suffers severely. When towing, you might also experience excessive sway, bottoming out, and even improper and unsafe headlight aim. Fortunately, there is a solution to these problems. By pairing your existing suspension with the LoadLifter 5000, you can seriously beef up your suspension, ensure equal load distribution, and give your vehicle the support it desperately needs. Air Lift's LoadLifter 5000 provides up to 5,000 pounds of load-leveling capacity and distributes the weight of your payload to all four wheels. As a result, the stress on your OEM suspension is significantly reduced.

LoadLifter's air bags are adjustable from 5 to 100 psi for precise support, and they can be inflated independently of one another for front-to-rear and side-to-side leveling. They are made of high-quality, two-ply, fabric-reinforced rubber. Most air bags lose air at the ends, where the bag is enclosed with a steel cap, because the steel can rust and corrode over time, creating small holes. The endcaps on Air Lift air bags are fashioned from corrosion-proof Zytel nylon, a material that is both stronger and lighter than steel, ensuring that the air bags won't lose air. Also, LoadLifter 5000 comes with Air Lift's exclusive roll plates, which both protect your air springs and beef up the load capacity of the springs.

This system installs with the included brackets and hardware. Just mount the springs, inflate them, and ride. To inflate the LoadLifter springs, you just have to pump air in through the inflation valves. A line kit is included with the springs so that you can install the valves (one for each spring) in an easily accessible area - typically they are installed on the bumper. If you want to make the springs even easier to use, you can get a compressor and gauge system (sold separately).

Air Lift kits are designed to keep your vehicle at normal ride height. You can find the normal ride height of your vehicle by unloading it and measuring the distance between the bottom edge of your wheel well and the center of the hub. After you find and record this distance, you can regulate the amount of air that you put into your air springs to maintain normal ride height - even when you are hauling a heavy load. You will need to adjust the air pressure in your air bags according to the size of your load.

Along with a lifetime warranty that has no mileage restrictions, Air Lift offers a 60-day satisfaction guarantee. Just install and use LoadLifter 5000 springs for 60 days, and if you are not satisfied at the end of this time, you can remove them from your vehicle and return them for a full product refund. Now that's confidence.

Great instructions and easy install. Works great!

by:

I received these Air Lift Load Lifter 5000 springs just a few days after ordering and all parts were in the box. The instructions were good but the etrailer videos were even better, especially regarding the two bolts being installed on the bottom plate. The instructions were lacking there. I particularly liked the videos of the 2012 pewter colored F 150 and the 2013 silver F 150. Both were 4x4's like my 2014 and had the same suspension.( 2009-2014 are the same). I chose to use two air valves (instead of a T) and placed them on each side of the license plate to distinguish right side from left side and compensate for any potential uneven loads. I have a 34 gallon gas tank mounted on the left side of the frame, so that's a lot of weight when full. One of the videos demonstrates grinding an OE fastener bolt near the axle to gain clearance. We just backed off the bracket then refastened after the install. We thought about running the air lines through rubber hoses for extra protection but we didn't do it this time. I see the premium kits you sell use a braided air line. Nice option but mine was the basic 5000. I was concerned that when the truck is on a hoist lifted under the frame, not the wheels, that the air bags would droop too much with the weight of the axle and perhaps get damaged, but we tried it after airing up the bags, and all seems okay. To remedy that one could always use wheel supported hoists that you drive onto or support the axle with axle jacks. Maybe good to always keep some air in the bags too. I did note that the rear of the truck will rise when air is added in an empty or unloaded truck. About an inch with 20# psi and more lift with more air. Since I have a front level of 1.5 inches over the front struts a little lift in the rear is fine and actually cuts the wind a bit better on the highway. With 20# of PSI empty load the ride is just a bit stiffer or jouncier but I like it. I'm sure there will be less sway with a load. I've yet to pull a trailer or add much weight to the bed but I will at some point and I like the idea I will always have a level stance with air adjustments. I don't like it when a truck points up to the stars! I've been buying from etrailer for many years now and am always happy with the products and service. I like the price match feature and the installation videos are great! Thanks! Happy trails everyone!

Just fine. Holds air consistently and the ride is good.

Great system! I own an F150 and pull a 20' trailer on occasion. The air bags give me confidence and a smooth ride.

Producstcwoek excellent but only thing I suggested to replace bolts from strongest one one came wit the kit bent easy after tight and torque

I was having some rear end “squat” on my 2014 F150 with a trailer I’m towing. After installing the Air Lift 5000, the squat was resolved with 45psi. Fast delivery. The air lift took me about 4 hrs to install (I don’t have a truck lift) and was straight forward for the DIY installation. I watched the video by etrailer then followed the instructions provided. ( was missing a “T” fitting, but had no plans on using it for my application anyways.) overall, this seems to be a good, Quality product with ~ 500 miles so far, an no issues, simple to install.

2012 Ford F-150

I pull a food trailer which weighs quite a bit. I installed these on my 2012 F150 XLT Crew cab so there would be some help to the stock suspension while pulling. I also have a ARE camper shell on the truck along with 2 generators to power the trailer. I did not have to air up the springs and did not have any sag as compared to when I did not install these Springs. Highly recommended! On a side note, I had to sell the F150 and purchased an F350 as the F150 was a 2 wheel drive and powered by a V6, the new owner will definitely appreciate these springs as well I'm sure!

Arrived in a timely manner.Anxious to see how they work

by:
2005 Ford F-150

Kit was easy and straightforward I added a personal touch of compression fittings and hose clamps

by:

Awesome, arrived on time, very straight forward to install with step by step instructions. I have a 20' enclosed trailer that I converted to a mini toy hauler (very heavy). These air bags work like a champ. I just add 20 lbs of air to them and it brings my pick up back to level. Highly recommend these air bags.

by:

The air shocks are very easy to install for an intermediate DIY wrencher. I had some problems with leaks at the fittings that attach to the air bags. When I called in, they told me I probably cut the tubing at an angle. After trying that a couple times with little improvement, I realized the fittings were backing out of the air shock over time and need to be tightened occasionally. Next time I have the truck up on the lit, I will probably add a drop of loc-tite to the threads.

I towed my travel trailer with these on for the first time this past weekend and it made a huge difference. With my F150 towing a 32’ camper it took a lot of the bounce and sway out of the trailer. It kept it perfectly level and they are easy to use.

A must have upgrade for me. It works great.

by:

Works great. Easy to install and use. Makes a huge difference when towing

by:

I installed the product and followed the instructions. It was fairly straightforward. The only real issue I have is trying to put air in the airbags. It seems as though it's all or none. Very hard to regulate. Otherwise it's a good product.

I like the airbags. I have a slight leak on the right side. Need to investigate that. I bought a different kind of air gauge to put air in the system. Works much better than my old gauge

Thank you for your review. Please check your air leak as soon as possible and make sure to test it often. Use the soapy water solution to check all air line connections and the inflation valve core before deflating and removing the air spring. This product has a limited lifetime warranty so please visit www.airliftcompany.com/warranty if the air spring is defective.

Does what I needed it to do. Hauling a large boat and has a tremendous about or up and down at the hitch.
Stop about 90% of it. One thing though, the site lines come with 2 Valves, one is better for me to air both at the same time.

by:
2013 Ford F-150

I have had the air bags installed for over a year now. From the boat ramp, camper and dump trailer these things just work GREAT. I will add a set of these to every truck i owe from now on! So nice to be able to level you truck out regardless it being a large or small load. They truly give your truck a safer ride when towing!

Ford F-150

I pull a 9500lb Gooseneck Horse Trailer with my F-150. Needless to say it squatted more then I wanted when hooked up. These Air Bags took me about an hour and half to hook up. Instructions are very clear. These bags changed everything, before hooking up now I put 30 lbs in each bag and it is level smooth sailing. I keep 5 lbs in then when not in use. Highly recommend

by:
2014 Ford F-150

I bought these air bags about a year ago put them on my 2014 f150 so I could pull my 29 ft fifth wheel they work awesome no problems at all I would recommend them to anybody I have a lot of experience pulling big things I’m cherry /apple farmer we pull a lot of big trailers!

by:
2005 Ford F-150

Everything works perfectly. Bought a new truck camper for my F150 and the airlift bags handle the load like it isn't even there. I put 50 psi in to start with and had to drop it back to 25 psi to get the back of my truck back down to level. They work great.

by:

I just installed the Airlift LoadLifter 5000 airbags yesterday evening. Can’t wait to hook the boat or trailer behind the truck to see how the airbags perform. Installation instructions were easy to follow, and all parts and hardware were provided.

2009 Ford F-150

High quality and heavy duty. Good instructions as well. Just got them installed yesterday on my 2009 F-150 crew cab with 6.5' box. I also have the B&W turnover gooseneck ball hitch and my main concern was still being able to mount these. Fit like a charm, no interference at all. I wish I would have purchased them sooner. Sometimes we haul loads that might be just a bit heavy for an F-150, but we are careful. These will certainly help. I have similar air bag type suspensions install on our other two work trucks and I love them.

What I did was got myself a 1/4" compression tee and plumbed both air bags into one valve. That way, they air up evenly. It comes with everything to air up each bag separately but I prefer them to be the same. They cost about $6 at any hardware store. I mounted the single air fill valve near the drivers tail light inside the box facing forward. There is an opening where the tail light harness runs up and I followed that with the air valve. I drilled a hole and snaked a tie wire down and through some finagling I managed to get the valve out the hole and mounted. Looks good and is out of the way.

Install took me about 5 hours from tools out to tools away, but I was not in a big hurry. I aired them up to 70 psi and drove home looking like a hot rod with the back kicked up. Checked the air pressure this morning and all is well. No leaks as far as I can tell.

Highly recommended and a great price as well.

I have a2014f-150 I pull a28ft ultralite fifth wheel without the air suspension I was not level this solved the problem !! installation was easy .

by:

These work great to increase my load capacity and level my truck when pulling my trailer.

by:

Awesome product fairly easy to install. Noticed a big difference when towing vehicle feels great and handling was improved. Vehicle would squat when towing a 25 foot trailer now sits leveled and has a firm ride.
